I’m what you’d call an ‘ugly mug’. I’m that girl that everyone says ‘oh, Aimee? Yeah. She has spots.’ I’m the tall one with weird hair, pale skin, big feet and moley arms. I’m the one who wishes she was someone else.
Another thing about me, I’m not at all optimistic. Get used to it. Right?
I was born, (un)luckily without any siblings, and have lived ever since. My surname is a colour, my middle name is in memory of my paternal grandmother (deceased), and my first name.. well, spell it right and I will love you forever. Anyone who spells it ‘Amy’ gets a boot up their ass, and I ain’t even joking.
I’m sarcastic (most of the time), daft, random and just plain bizarre. I probably type like a two year old, think like a seven year old, and look physically like an eighteen year old. My real age? Eighty nine.
I’m British through and through. I’ve never left the country. I hate our weather. I long for decent snow and decent sunshine (although not at the same time). I’ve only just got my passport. I prefer summer over winter because I can go to sleep in daylight, yet I prefer outside at night to outside at day (funnily enough, I hate the bright sunshine cause it gives me a headache).
I like to think I’m a nice person, but I’m probably not. I’m pretty judgemental in my own way, yet care about others’ feelings, so would usually keep things to myself. I always keep secrets, including ones about myself, and love surprises. I like to have things my own way, and have been quite spoilt in the past, however in recent years I’ve worked on that and are no longer too far up my own ass.
I’m slightly claustraphobic, have quite a mild and self-declared case of OCD that mainly revolves around things being symmetrical, and have a phobia of esculators (those metal stairs that move). I hate fish, bananas and pie. I am squemish, but can cope with spiders and stuff as long as they’re not in my hair or up my trousers.
I play guitar, write stories, sing in the shower and neglect schoolwork. I love reading, can’t sit in a room without listening to music, and am always thinking about fictional characters that I’d love more than anything to bring to life. I swoon over John Barrowman (he can sing; he was just having a bad week), Oliver Tompsett (my Fiyero), Linguini (I know, but Pixar are soo good at making nice-looking characters) and, more recently, Tom Cruise as Lestat de Lioncourt. I also love David Tennant, 1990s Leo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp and every other actor teenagers like me are likely to identify as their ‘favourite actors ever’. Except Robert Pattinson. Well, not as Edward Cullen, anyway.
My favourite film ever is Back to the Future (that’s all three as a whole, it’s impossible to choose just one), however I do have a soft spot for Dodgeball, An American Tail and Chicken Run. In general, films from the 1980s are the best ever, including Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Uncle Buck, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and Bill & Ted (well, in that case, late 80s). The Lion King 2 and The Little Mermaid are the bestest Disney films evar, yet GusGus from Cinderella is the best character, closely followed by Kuzco from The Emperor’s New Groove (”No touchy!”). We Are One is actually my favourite song ever, but I love all of the LK2 and LM songs in general, especially Kiss The Girl. <3
My favourite bands are McFly, Holiday Parade, Boys Like Girls and The All-American Rejects (but I haven’t yet got their new album. >.>) although SR-71 are love, Elliot Minor are seriously underrated, Sugarcult are so pretty and give me amazing feelings (Memory, anyone?), Panic at the Disco need their exclamation mark back, and Green Day are total legends. Jason Mraz is probably my favourite guitarist, next to McFly’s Danny Jones, however my favourite man in music has to be Andrew McMahon (Jack’s Mannequin/Something Corporate).
Jodi Picoult is my ultimate inspiration, favourite author and plain old idol, and it’s thanks to her books that I’ve gone back into writing again (credit also goes to Michelle for being so supportive and full of advice, and NaNoWriMo for being the ultimate project of 2008, tyty).
I’m always up for a chat, and love people who visit my site and comment. If you need to contact me in any way, email aimee@forgotten-twilight.net and I’ll get back to you.
Hi there. My name is Aimee, and I really, really hate bright colours. Honestly.
I’m what you’d call a fish-hater, a music-obsessive, and a guitarist. I enjoy writing fictional stories about people being depressed and dying, and watching cartoons with animals getting blown up by ACME Dynamite. I’m the kind of person who would stand at the back of parties, lost, wondering what Bugs Bunny would do in my situation.
I am a sixteen-year-old student from Gloucestershire, UK, and I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar and writing for my own pleasure. At school I study music and art above everything else, although I must admit I’m not that great at either. I hope one day to be a published author, with maybe a job in music production, radio broadcasting, or editing. My favourite music genres are pop, rock and pop-punk (interpret them as you will) with my favourite bands being Holiday Parade and McFly. I also enjoy reading, and it’s thanks to Jodi Picoult’s books that I decided just how much I really would love to be a writer.
I have been doing website work for around four-five years now, from back in the days when Habbo was known as Habbo Hotel, Webs was known as Freewebs, Piczo was all the rage, and Neopets didn’t ever ask for money. I don’t know a massive amount of webdesign, and I am near enough completely self-taught, but I have always been intrigued by it enough to eventually get my own website, and in 2008, I did just that.
