So yeah. I’ve only been watching Doctor Who since Russel T Davies resurrected it however long ago, but hell, it’s so effing brilliant. He comes up with some AMAZING stories, Davies does, and they all make me go all giddy. (although I’m so darned happy that the person that’s going to replace him is the one who wrote the best episode ever, “Blink”) David Tennant is one of my favourite actors (if you watch the HP films, he plays Barty Crouch jr in the Order Of The Phoenix.. yes, hot, I know) and, obviously, John Barrowman is my favourite person on earth. Not only is he hot, sexy, and terrific at acting, his accent is also just breathtaking. Too bad he’s gay. =/

Yeah so, some of you will be like ‘wtf?’. (Just nod along and you’ll be fine. =]) Doctor Who is this program about this ‘time lord’ (David Tennant.. oh god he’s so dfghfgjgf-ing amazing) who travels through time in a POLICE BOX (or, TARDIS; Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) and gets to see anywhere and everywhere. He see aliens, other planets, historic events from before tv existed (they recently went to Pompeii). The show started in the 60s, ended in the 80s, then go brought back a few years ago. Seriously, its awesome.

Last night just really took my breath away.. I can’t put into words how amazing that episode was. So much stuff! All day I’ve been floating around feeling really weird, and seeing McFly’s new video didn’t help either. =]

So yeah, don’t click the cut if you don’t want me to talk about last night’s episode. There’ll be spoilers and theories. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

See the episode - if you haven’t already - here. It’s best to have seen the rest of the series, though.

Last night’s episode was an ultimate 50 minutes of pure amazingness. It was like everything rolled into one; Sarah Jane, Jack Harkness, Martha Jones, Ianto Jones (<33), other random people, and ROSE TYLER!! uhghfgh

So the whole ‘bad wolf’ thing returns, which means the Daleks are on the rampage again. The earth disappears and we’re introduced - again - to MARTHA JONES!! woo. Yeah. Then the effing hot Jack Harkness is there, all dusty and droolworthy (and Ianto Jones <33 oh, the Janto last Torchwood series was just too hot) and then there’s Sarah Jane and her kiddy machine and.. rather nice looking son (I must find out his name.. he’s pretty nice for a young lad. =P)

AND THEN ROSE APPEARS. WITH A GUN. YAYA. I missed her. She’s well and truly back after being stuck in Parallel Worlds (cue Elliot Minor.. woo) without her David Tennant love. =[

What made me laugh though, was the Paul o’Grady cameo and his dog Buster. Ianto’s laugh is just amazing.. yeah. So blah blah blah, 26 planets in the sky, Torchwood and Sarah Jane being all detective.. you can imagine the rest, and I won’t bore you. Just watch the episode (if you can.. whether people out of UK can or not I have no idea)

The amazing stuff starts when Harriet Jones (god, there’s alot of Joneses here, ain’t there.. BE IMAGINATIVE!!) tries to get in contact with Torchwood, (anagram of Doctor Who, you see?) Martha Jones and Sarah Jane. The morse-code type beeps are recognisable to most DW fans, especially those who remember the last series and its most amazing episode, ‘The Sound Of Drums’. Yes, the beeps you heard were the same as those the Master heard IN HIS HEAD. Also, if I remember rightly, the master used some kind of subwave thing the same as Harriet did.. I’m thinking some kind of connection?

Anyway, so they all get in contact with the Doctor etc, Davros returns (lord of the Daleks) the Doctor gets to Earth, then the most AMAZING bit happens. He asks Donna “what did Rose say?” (watch last episode, ‘Turn Left’ to know what that means), then Donna’s like “why don’t you ask her yourself?”

He’s like, wtf, then turns round, and it’s like, omfg, IT’S ROSE! Then I start crying, because I cried at the end of series two when they got seperated, and surely a reunion would make me cry too. So they do that running towards each other thing, but then, DUH DUH DUH!! A DALEK comes and shoots the Doctor. =[ (on his left side, may I note.. remember, two hearts) But then, woot, Jack Harkness appears and EXTERMINATES the Dalek (yaya) but then they all cry and get the Doctor into the TARDIS. At this point we all start to realise that maybe our lovely DT is leaving us for good..

Sarah Jane nearly gets exterminated, Ianto and Gwen nearly get exterminated, then back to the TARDIS.

Oh god, it’s true, the Doctor is REGENERATING. When the body he occupies dies, he regenerates into a new body. New body = new actor playing the Doctor = no more David Tennant. So we’re there, crying our eyes out, and DT’s like “I’m regenerating” then does the amazing BBC graphic thing and bursts out into gold light. THEN THE EPISODE ENDS. ON A FRIGGING CLIFFHANGER, WITH NO PREVIEWS FOR NEXT WEEK. ATEMFGBHDKNJ.

I’m crying again at this point, as I just watched the episode through for the 5th time today. =’]

Anyway, here are my theories:

  1. The Doctor won’t regenerate because of some fault
  2. The Doctor WILL regenerate, except, using the hand in the jar (it’s right next to Donna, if you watch.. ages ago in one of the first DT episodes, the Doctor’s hand gets chopped off and Jack keeps it, but then its returned to the Doctor somehow. The Doctor grew a new hand, but kept the old one), Jack and co manage to clone DT back again (god knows how that’d work, honestly)
  3. We’ll get Tom Baker back. =D (one of the old and best Doctors from a while ago)
  4. We’ll get John Simm back. =D (okay, he was the master, but still)
  5. With any luck, DT will regenerate into John Barrowman, meaning we get double the goodness (very unlikely. =[)
  6. He will regenerate, but will generate back to Tennant because of some fault, ie he never died fully, so he never regenerated fully
  7. He will regenerate into someone else, and we’ll all be so gutted.
  8. He will regenerate, and we’ll all forget about DT because this new Doctor is just so much better

There’s obviously so many more theories behind what will happen next week. I’m actually shitting myself here, because I’m dreading the fact that in some way I WILL be disappointed with the outcome. Nothing is ever how it seems, and I just know that either theory 7 or 1 will be the most likely, as they’ll be the most horrible for me to go through. I know I love DT, but, really, I don’t want it to just be ‘oh there was an error.. I’m still me!’, but I definitely don’t want him to leave either. I’d prefer either theory 2 or 6; I’d like to see a new Doctor, but I’d also want DT to return eventually. I can’t think of anyone who would fit theory 8, but I don’t really know many actors. =/

The most interesting thing is everyone elses theories over here. Some of these include:

  1. It’s a parallel universe (note the fact that the beetle from last episode returned.. someone told Donna that there was something on her back) and really DT is fine. =]
  2. The heartbeat Donna heard was the same as the Master’s drumming (no, no, NO! I know the exact rhythm of the master’s drumming, and that, my friend, wasn’t it)
  3. Donna has two hearts (listen to the heartbeat she hears) so maybe she’s a time lord
  4. Gallifrey is returning, Tom Baker is returning, war of the Daleks.. meh
  5. James Nesbitt is the new Doctor (fuck NO!)
  6. Christopher Eccleston (previous Doctor) will return due to the 1 second thing in the Medusa Cascade but then turn back into Tennant at the end (similar to my theory up there)

I’m believing that at least one of the theories those people have covered is true. Not neccessarily the ones I’ve listed, btw. Something dreadful will happen next episode that none of us were really expecting, and it’ll probably be such a downer that we’ll regret ever watching it. But that’s me, the pessimist. ^_^

I’m literally counting the hours now until the last episode is aired. After this, there’ll be nothing to watch until like, 2010, so I’ll be so fed up, no matter what happens. I’m hoping though that RT Davies will give us a corker of a finale, because I was quite pissed about the last episode of the series before this; again, the penultimate episode was brilliant (’The Sound Of Drums’.. I mentioned it before) but then the episode after didn’t really do anything for me. I’m hoping that’s not the case this time.

Everyone, please share your views. ^_^ I need someone to spaz about all this to!
