By John Steinbeck. Anyone else read it?
We read it in school this and last week, and blimey, I don’t know what to think. I totally understand it, but it
just seemed all a bit pointless. Y’know? It was over too quick for me. And the ending, although intended to be, was way too abrupt. It took me a longgggggg time to even register what had happened. Bah.
But, the great thing is, I’ve finally read the book which has the character that the abominable snowman from Looney Tunes was based on. ^_^ “My own little Bunny rabbit! I will love him and hug him and pet him and pat him and call him George.” YAYA. =]]]] FYI, Lennie from Of Mice and Men always wanted to ‘tend the rabbits’ but, because of his size and strength, would inevitably end up killing them, like he did the mouse and later the puppy. (see how Daffy and Bugs get practically slaughtered by the snowman in the cartoon. =P) George is Lennie’s ‘best friend’ and the one who Lennie relies on and looks up to the most, who’s smaller than him and the more dominant figure. We don’t like George. The ending says why. Poor Lennie. =[
