Okay, fair enough, it was ohsoamazing new year’s eve last night, so I don’t blame my neighbours for having a party. The thing is, though, they’ve been having one every weekend for the past 6 months. I’m not even joking. Every weekend they’re singing karaoke, out in the street swearing, riding their mopeds, and slamming up and down the stairs, all at 3 in the morning. It’s not fair, I don’t think, that we have to live in a semi-detatched bungalow, seperated from our neighbours by only a single wall, and have to have them partying every bloody weekend - including Sundays, once or twice - preventing us from getting a wink of sleep and driving us all up the wall with stress (especially my mum, who’s actually pretty ill at the moment and who’s taking medication that’s making her drowsy and depressed).
How many times have we complained? Almost every time.
Do they stop? No.
Argh. All we know is that there are two kids next door, and presumably they have the parties. We have no idea where the mother is (we suspect she’s left, haha). The father? He’s an ignorant and loud git anyway, we wouldn’t trust him to tell them to shut up. Although, we did hear him on the phone once, telling the son to pack his bags and leave. Pity he came back.
Does anyone else have neighbours like that, who’re just so inconsiderate of others? What would you do in our situation? We’ve called the police and complained directly to them, but nothing’s been done. We know that really, Saturday nights are kinda excusable for parties, but when it’s every single week rather than just once a month (or less) it does get really stressful. Especially for those of us who have to be up early in the morning, for whatever reason.
I actually didn’t get to sleep until four last night because all I could hear was screaming, loud music, and people wearing clogs running up their wooden stairs. It helps that my bedroom’s right on the front, and some of them were out in the street most of the night. It also helps that my mother’s bedroom’s right on the seperating wall, right next to their staircase. =/
